Steven Parker resides in rural Burlington, IA, performs Comedy, Magic, Illusions, Ventriloquism, Balloon Sculpture, & Singing for audiences of all ages. Steven has been performing since 1979 and learned ventriloquism at the age of 10. He has performed in 17 States and New Zealand. Steven lectures at events and has instructed many courses at national ventriloquist/puppetry conferences. Steven has served on the Board of Directors of the International Fellowship of Christian Magicians, is a member of the North American Association of Ventriloquists. Steven received the “Performer Elite” rating V.I.T. (Ventriloquists in Training) program through “Creative Ministries”, (formerly “One Way Street”) in Aurora, CO. in July 2007.
“The Fun Factory and Steve & Alex Ministries” utilizes a repertoire of entertainment to delight audiences of all ages and for any occasion. The programs are designed with Fun and Good Taste with lots of joyful audience participation. They are a fun program the whole family can attend.
Steven retired from the Des Moines Co. Sheriff’s Office, Burlington, Ia, in June 2011, after serving 36 years. Steven was chosen as the new national voice of “McGruff” the crime dog in 2006, and continues making public appearances with McGruff.
